1. Product Overview

This is an industrial heavy-duty American high-strength bow shackle (G2130 bolt-type anchor shackle) with a 1/2" nominal body size and a rated working load limit (WLL) of 2 tons (2 TON / 2000 kg). Unlike common screw-pin shackles, it uses a hot-dip galvanized body with a through load bolt, hex nut and stainless cotter pin in a triple mechanical lock-out design. Built for long-term fixed connections, continuous vibration, multi-directional loads and harsh weather in critical lifting, heavy rigging and industrial towing, it is widely recognized for exceptional anti-loosening performance in global industry.

2. Key Features & Design Highlights

  • 1/2" body, 2T WLL: The bow body is 1/2" (approx. 12.7 mm). The high-strength bolt is typically one size larger (often 5/8", approx. 15.88 mm) for superior shear and bending strength. Clear body markings include WLL 2T, 1/2; CE marking can be arranged per order when required by your market. Breaking load typically reaches 4× or 6× WLL depending on manufacturing standard.
  • Bolt-nut-cotter pin triple safety: A smooth through-bolt replaces the threaded screw pin. After the hex nut is tightened, a stainless cotter pin is inserted and spread at the bolt tail—preventing self-loosening from rope rotation, wind or vibration during lifting.
  • Wide bow (anchor) design: Wider internal space than chain (Dee) shackles—accepts multiple slings, hooks or links and allows greater angular movement for multi-directional and converging rigging.
  • Full hot-dip galvanizing: Body, bolt and nut are hot-dip galvanized for a dense silver zinc layer with excellent weather and wear resistance—protecting against rust and seizure in outdoor, port and marine service.
  • Forged alloy steel: Drop-forged from high-strength alloy steel, quenched and tempered. Excellent fatigue and low-temperature toughness; under overload the steel tends to deform rather than snap brittle.

3. Primary Applications

  • Construction, factory lifting and medium equipment handling—as the core link between hooks, wire rope slings, chain assemblies and lifting lugs.
  • Long-term guy wires, wind turbine towers, telecom masts, bridge cables and steel space frames where cotter-pin lock-out is essential.
  • Ships, port mooring and offshore deck rigging under continuous wave and vibration.
  • Vehicle recovery, off-road towing and heavy cargo lashing in mud, shock and multi-direction pull conditions.

Safety Guidelines

  1. Never omit the cotter pin—confirm it is fully inserted and legs spread before each use.
  2. Do not exceed the rated 2 ton working load limit; verify total load and sling angles before lifting.
  3. Do not weld, heat or modify—the heat treatment must not be altered.
