1. Product Overview

This is a medium to heavy-duty industrial American high-strength bow shackle (G-209 screw-pin anchor shackle) with a 3/4" nominal body size and a rated working load limit (WLL) of 4-3/4 tons (4.75 TON / 4750 kg). Unlike conventional hot-dip galvanized silver bodies, this model uses a full high-strength red paint finish on both the bow and threaded screw pin. It keeps the classic G-209 screw-pin quick-connect design—no separate nut or cotter pin required—so operators can install or remove the pin by hand or with a tool through the flat head. The all-red coating offers strong visibility and weather protection, making it ideal for frequent connect/disconnect, temporary lifting, vehicle recovery and off-road rescue where the shackle must stand out on site.

2. Key Features & Design Highlights

  • 3/4" body, 4.75T WLL: Bow body is 3/4" (approx. 19.05 mm). The screw pin is typically one size larger (7/8", approx. 22.2 mm) for high shear and bending strength. Clear body markings include WLL 4 3/4T, 3/4; CE marking can be arranged per order when required by your market. Breaking load typically reaches 4× or 6× WLL.
  • Fast screw-pin connection: Precision male thread on the pin screws directly into the body. The wide flat head with a small hole allows hand tightening or final torquing with a bar or wrench.
  • Wide bow (anchor) design: More internal space than chain (Dee) shackles—accepts multiple slings, hooks or links and allows angular movement, reducing eccentric stress concentration.
  • Full red high-visibility finish: Body and screw pin are coated in bright industrial red paint for excellent contrast in mud, night work, desert or busy job sites—reducing mis-handling and lost-rigging risk, with good UV and weather resistance.
  • Forged alloy steel: Drop-forged from high-strength alloy steel, quenched and tempered. Excellent fatigue and low-temperature toughness; under overload the steel tends to deform rather than snap brittle.

3. Primary Applications

  • Off-road recovery and rescue—mounted on bumpers and recovery points on trucks and 4×4 vehicles; high-visibility red finish for tow lines, snatch straps and winch hooks.
  • Factory and mobile crane lifting—everyday hoisting, assembly and turnover of medium and large equipment where frequent disconnection is required.
  • Port and logistics handling—rapid change of slings and fittings during cargo loading and unloading.
  • Steel structure alignment—temporary tensioning and positioning during erection of frames, curtain walls and bridge trusses with come-alongs and turnbuckles.

Safety Guidelines

  1. Do not use in long-term fixed systems with continuous vibration or rope rotation—use a G-2130 bolt-nut-cotter pin shackle instead.
  2. Confirm the pin is fully screwed in and the flat head is flush with the body before loading—never lift with the pin only partially engaged.
  3. Do not weld, heat or modify—the heat treatment must not be altered.
