This is an industrial JIS open-body hook-and-eye turnbuckle (rigging turnbuckle / spiral tensioner) with a closed eye at one end and an open hook at the other, rated for a working load limit (WLL) of 0.7 tons (700 kg) at nominal 5/8" size. Built strictly to JIS Japanese Industrial Standard open-body design, rotation of the center frame drives opposite-hand threaded rods to extend or retract together for precise straight-line tensioning of wire rope, chain or tie rods. Full electro-galvanized protection suits construction stays, medium equipment anchoring and permanent industrial bracing indoors and outdoors.
2. Key Features & Design Highlights
- JIS open-body frame: Classic open oval body with a wide central window—installers can visually check thread engagement on both rods to confirm safe thread length and eliminate hidden over-extension.
- Opposite-hand threads: Left and right internal threads in the frame—turn the body clockwise or counter-clockwise to tighten or loosen both ends simultaneously with minimal effort.
- Hook & Eye ends: Closed forged eye at one end locks the anchor under multi-directional sway or wind load; open hook at the other allows fast engagement on lugs, eyes or shackles without disassembly.
- 5/8" size, WLL 0.7T: Nominal 5/8" body with deep thread pitch and robust rods—700 kg WLL for sustained tension on medium-duty wire rope and cable runs.
- Electro-galvanized finish: Bright silver zinc plating gives long-term rust protection outdoors with a smooth, even coat that preserves free thread engagement without binding.

Safety Guidelines
- Not for vertical lifting—WLL is 0.7 ton for tensioning only. Do not use as a crane hook terminal, hoist assembly or manned lift component.
- Open hook has no safety latch—keep the line under tension in service; slack or heavy sway can allow the hook to disengage. Inspect regularly.
- Maintain adequate thread engagement—keep at least about 1.5× thread diameter of rod inside the body when extended; never load with only a few threads engaged.
