1. Product Overview

This is an industrial heavy-duty American high-strength bow shackle (G-209 screw-pin anchor shackle) with a 5/8" nominal body size and a rated working load limit (WLL) of 3-1/4 tons (3.25 TON / 3250 kg). It combines an efficient threaded screw pin with a hot-dip galvanized body and forged alloy steel red pin—the classic red-and-silver rigging finish. No separate nut or cotter pin is required; the flat pin head allows quick hand or tool installation for frequent connect/disconnect in medium-duty lifting and rigging.

2. Key Features & Design Highlights

  • 5/8" body, 3.25T WLL: The bow body is 5/8" (approx. 15.88 mm). The high-strength screw pin is typically one size larger (often 3/4", approx. 19.05 mm) for superior shear and bending strength. Clear body markings include WLL 3 1/4T, 5/8; CE marking can be arranged per order when required by your market. Breaking load typically reaches 4× or 6× WLL depending on manufacturing standard.
  • Fast screw-pin connection: Precision male thread on the red pin screws directly into the body. The wide flat head with a small hole allows hand tightening or final torquing with a bar, wire or wrench—ideal for mobile job sites.
  • Wide bow (anchor) design: Wider internal space than chain (Dee) shackles—accepts multiple slings, hooks or links and allows angular movement, reducing eccentric stress concentration.
  • Galvanized body with red pin: Hot-dip galvanized silver body resists corrosion in outdoor and port environments. The red screw pin provides high-visibility contrast for quick field inspection.
  • Forged alloy steel: Drop-forged from high-strength alloy steel, quenched and tempered. Excellent fatigue and low-temperature toughness; under overload the steel tends to deform rather than snap brittle.

3. Primary Applications

  • Construction and factory lifting—medium steel structure hoisting, overhead crane work and equipment assembly where frequent disconnection is required.
  • Port and logistics handling—rapid change of slings and fittings during cargo loading and unloading.
  • Vehicle recovery and temporary towing—quick attachment of tow lines to front/rear recovery points.
  • Steel structure alignment—temporary tensioning and positioning during erection of frames, curtain walls and bridge trusses with come-alongs and turnbuckles.

Safety Guidelines

  1. Do not use in long-term fixed systems with continuous vibration or rope rotation—use a G-2130 bolt-nut-cotter pin shackle instead.
  2. Confirm the pin is fully screwed in and the flat head is flush with the body before loading—never lift with the pin only partially engaged.
  3. Do not weld, heat or modify—the heat treatment must not be altered.
