1. Product Overview

The malleable cast iron beam clamp is a mechanical clamping connector mounted on the flanges of I-beams, H-section steel, channel steel and similar structural steel. It is used for suspension systems, pipe support, cable tray runs and equipment mounting in building and industrial projects. The body is precision cast from quality malleable iron, offering high mechanical strength, good toughness and excellent impact resistance.

Installation is purely mechanical—no welding or drilling of the beam is required. The top set screw clamps the flange firmly in place without altering the original steel structure, which speeds up field work and allows the clamp to be removed and reused as project needs change.

The full surface is electro-galvanized for rust resistance, corrosion protection and long-term durability in construction, industrial plants, warehousing, logistics and MEP environments.

2. Product Features

  • High-strength malleable iron construction: Cast from quality malleable iron with balanced strength, toughness and impact resistance—resists cracking and deformation under long-term service.
  • No welding or drilling required: Clamps onto the beam flange quickly without permanent changes to the steel, protecting the structure and reducing installation cost and time.
  • Secure clamping design: The high-strength top set screw presses firmly against the flange for reliable mechanical grip and stable connection.
  • Anti-loosening lock nut: A hex lock nut secures the set screw after tightening to help prevent loosening from vibration or extended use.
  • Quality electro-galvanized finish: Full zinc plating delivers strong corrosion and weather resistance for indoor and general industrial environments.
  • Easy installation and reuse: Simple to install without special tools; can be adjusted, removed and reinstalled for economical maintenance.

3. Product Advantages

  • Quality malleable iron material with high strength and toughness
  • Electro-galvanized surface with excellent corrosion resistance
  • No welding or drilling—protects existing steelwork
  • Fast installation saves construction time
  • Firm clamping grip resists slippage on the flange
  • Lock nut design helps prevent bolt loosening
  • Reusable and repositionable to lower lifecycle cost
  • Suitable for a wide range of structural steel installations
  • Long service life with low maintenance requirements

4. Application Scenarios

Malleable cast iron beam clamps are widely used in construction, industrial installation and steel structure support systems as fixed connection points on beams, providing a reliable base for suspension and support assemblies.

  • Building MEP installation: Fire sprinkler piping, plumbing support, HVAC ductwork, threaded-rod pipe hangers.
  • Electrical installation: Cable tray and ladder mounting, conduit support, industrial lighting, distribution equipment.
  • Steel-framed buildings: Industrial plants, warehouses, logistics centers, commercial buildings and steel workshops.
  • Steel platform and accessory mounting: Threaded-rod suspension systems, pipe support frames, ventilation runs, signage, acoustic panels and auxiliary equipment.

6. Installation Method

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. Place the beam clamp on the designated position along the steel flange.
  2. Adjust the clamp to the correct installation location.
  3. Tighten the top set screw clockwise until the clamp grips the flange securely.
  4. Tighten the lock nut to prevent the set screw from loosening.
  5. Attach threaded rod, pipe clamps or other suspension components—the connection point is ready for use.

Important — load and maintenance:

  • Do not exceed the rated working load limit (WLL 300 lbs) for this 1/4" size.
  • Re-check set screw and lock nut tightness after initial loading and during routine maintenance, especially where vibration is present.
